Arm and Nuro Bring the Benefits of Autonomous Driving to Millions

Driving Scalability and Safety

Going forward, the entire compute subsystem in Nuro’s core product, the Nuro Driver, will be Arm-based. Nuro chooses Arm for the key safety innovations and functional safety processes, along with the proven, foundational platform that delivers computational efficiency and enables scalability. This helps Nuro reach its innovation goals and helps make autonomous technology more accessible.

Global Robotaxi Expansion

In July 2025, Nuro joined forces with Lucid and Uber to deploy more than 20,000 autonomous Lucid-Nuro vehicles to the Uber ride-hailing platform over the next six years. Each is built on the Arm-based Nuro Driver compute stack. By integrating the hardware on the Lucid production line and operating the fleet via Uber, the partnership shows how the power-efficient Arm architecture can move AI-first autonomy from pilot fleets to city-scale services.

AI-First Autonomy

AI has a large influence in the mobility space. Nuro is at the forefront of this push, with Nuro driver technology heavily based on AI and the driving functions driven by an AI-based system. The Arm compute platform provides the foundational AI architecture for accelerated AI, enabling performance at scale, power efficiency, security, and developer flexibility.
